By now, most of you must have heard of the massively multiplayer combination of tons of gaming genres, Star Citizen. The Cloud Imperium Games developed title totally reshapes online gaming, giving such degree of freedom to its players that has probably never been seen before.

This merging of styles such as FPS, space combat simulation, mining, exploration and much more, seems like an innovation that any MMORPG developer should pay attention to. There are certain games out there that offer similar freedom, like ArcheAge, Black Desert, Civilizations Online and a few more, but not all of these games seem to be doing everything right. I recently had the chance to play with the Star Citizen alpha and it was truly an amazing experience that all of you should consider trying.

If you look at current MMORPGs and online space simulators (EVE), most of them come along with irritating limitations, lack of roles, insufficient content and the ridiculously silly gender- and race-locked attitude. I could easily imagine an MMORPG that utilizes Star Citizen's approach, providing players with activities that keep them busy all day. In Star Citizen, any type of player can find something to get attached to and this is exactly what the MMO industry needs. We need games to be addictive once again, and most of us are tired of bouncing around between games that all fail to satisfy needs.

Sadly, in order to play Star Citizen in its current alpha state, you will need to smash that piggy bank because the only way to gain access, is by purchasing one of the available game packs. If you would like to try a game that could keep you busy for years to come, and don't want to waste more money on failing P2W attempts then I strongly advise you to consider investing in Star Citizen as it will surely bring you some pleasant surprises.

Before the flaming begins below, I would like to get it straight that I am not saying all MMORPGs fail right now, and I will probably give a few more titles (BDO, Riders of Icarus, Bless) a chance to prove me wrong, but if you have been struggling for years in an attempt to find the right game, then Star Citizen can be a good one to go for.
